Other forms of transport

The Bridgewater Canal towpath runs from Castlefield Basin in Manchester city centre (where it joins the Rochdale Canal), out as far as Oldfield Brow in Altrincham. This makes for a pleasant walk or cycle ride, if you live locally.

The canal itself goes out to Lymm, Warrington & Runcorn, where it joins the Trent and Mersey Canal. In the other direction, it continues through Eccles & Leigh where it meets the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. There are areas where narrowboats can be moored near our training venue, by arrangement!
