Training

Through our trusted training partner, STC Training Solutions, ProMed offers a range of courses across the UK. We have provided training in Aylesbury, London, Milton Keynes, Sheffield, Rotherham & Uxbridge.

We focus on providing Qualsafe Awards‘ pre-hospital care courses, including the highly sought-after First Response Emergency Care (FREC) suite. ProMed offers annual refresher courses (ie ILS), plus the medical gases and safe administration of lifesaving medication (SALM) add-ons.

You can start pursuing your goals no matter what your starting point. Qualsafe allows the recognition of prior learning (RPL) where your current qualification matches the pre-requisites for a course.

ProMed also offers first aid training for the workplace. First Aid at Work (FAW) courses are for those reguarly called upon to provide first aid. You’ll learn more about medical conditions in addition to basic life support.

An Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) still qualifies you as a first aider. Low risk workplaces may find their needs assessment stipulates that EFAW trained staff are suitable.

Training at your venue

We’ll come to your venue to train 5-6 people per FREC course, or 6-12 people per E/FAW course. If you provide the room (with internet access, power and a blank wall/screen) & refreshments, we’ll bring the training equipment, projector & books. Our experienced trainers are available to travel across all areas of the UK upon request.

For organisations with several people to train, this often works out a more cost-effective way to provide development opportunities to your staff. We will provide a single price for up to 6 FREC learners or up to 12 E/FAW learners, which is usually cheaper than making 6 or 12 seperate bookings.

For more information on any of our training, browse the website, call us on 03333 445442 or email our training department at training@promed999.co.uk.

How we deliver our training

We only use subject experts to deliver our courses. At the very least, they will possess Bachelor’s degree-level knowledge of anatomy, physiology & biochemistry. Many of our trainers are experiences, frontline healthcare professionals working in either pre-hospital care or primary care.

Training is continually evolving; the medical field is fast-paced and constantly changing. You can rely on us to deliver a product that is up-to-date and tailored to meet your ever-changing needs.

A qualified teacher, who has a postgraduate certificate in education, checks all of our lesson plans. They have experience teaching in mainstream maintained co-educational academies for pupils aged 11-18. Therefore, they received regular CPD from organisations such as Ambition Institute, keeping their teaching & learning practice ahead of the game.

The skills we teach are practised in a realistic manner – we believe this is important. As training technology continually advances, we continue to reinvest in the latest equipment available.

We go the extra mile for all our candidates when you attend our courses. We’ll provide at least one core text for you to keep, and give you access to full books which you can take home during your study period. Following achieving your qualification, we’ll keep in touch to support your CPD.

Coming Soon

We’re working behind-the-scenes to implement our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Moodle, to support our courses. You can prepare for your course by taking an online module & multi-choice quiz (MCQ). We aim to make course slides available beforehand so you can print them off & make notes. After achieving your qualification, you stay on the VLE, so you can refresh your knowledge.

Videos from our courses & webinars are being recorded, allowing you to go back and re-learn the material. You’ll be able to test yourself before & after a course, to show your improvement!
