ProMed was founded with a team ethos by its partners, meaning that we don’t have “managers” but “leaders” who lead their teams in all aspects of the business.
Our leadership team is the senior personnel in the business, and comprises a registered nurse, a registered paramedic, and a biomedical sciences graduate. Between them, they have years of experience at delivering healthcare services to the public & private sectors, including time spent within National Health Service (NHS) trusts.
Our registered paramedic started out with an NHS ambulance service, and worked his way through the ranks to eventually obtain the qualifications & experience needed to register as a paramedic. He has worked on the front line responding to 999 calls for over two decades, both as an NHS employee and under a private provider contracted to the NHS. He has also worked on a wide range of private events, including competitor sports (ie white collar boxing, mixed martial arts, etc), country shows, firework displays and music events.
Our registered nurse entered an NHS hospital via the diploma route, gaining valuable hands-on practical experience through a variety of placements. Having spent time working in accident & emergency departments, he now regularly works on an intensive care unit. Outside of the ward, he has provided medical cover to a range of events, including competitor sports (ie boxing) and bonfire displays.
Our biomedical sciences graduate also holds the Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG) Major Incident Medical Management and Support (MIMMS) certificate. On top of his Pearson Edexcel Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD) First Person On Scene – Intermediate (FPOS-I) certificate, he also holds a Resuscitation Council UK (RC(UK)) Immediate Life Support (ILS) certificate, a certificate from The National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) in Bleeding Control for the Injured (B-Con) and has studied at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust‘s Clinical Skills Centre on their Pre-Hospital Emergency Practitioner (PHEP) course, which is approved, and the certificate issued, by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC). He has over 10 years’ experience in the event sector, not just providing medical cover, but also as part of stewarding teams & security teams, working at every level from the grassroots right up to command, control and management.
